IEC LEADERSHIP JOURNEY

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”                                                             - Albert Einstein

Many organisations have goals around changing or evolving their corporate culture. Most recognise that in order to achieve their “stretch” initiatives for the organisation’s culture they can’t simply continue to do more of what they are doing now.

The IEC Leadership Journey gives foresight. We assist leaders to think into the future from the past. Hindsight informs foresight.

At the IEC we believe that beyond the organisational restructuring and policy changes it’s the myriad of person-to-person interactions within the organisation that make up the organisational “story”. The Leadership Journey reframes both personal and organisational stories and this re-authoring is the catalyst for success.

IEC starts by looking at the variety of ways we can benchmark where you are now;
• Deep structure interviews to explore and evoke the organisation’s stories.
• Diagnostics to assist in clarifying the dominant story driving the organisation.
• In consultation with groups within the organisation, we analyse what needs to happen for permanent change to occur.

From that analysis, we help you to realise your vision for change and the next steps may include;
• Analyse, structure and process – the cost/profit centres, the platforms, the relationships
• Re-authoring organisational narrative workshops with senior teams.
Mediating conversations with your senior team (including your lead executive)
• Creating more rounded and cohesive leaders within that team through interventions such as the Leadership Journey - a targeted, residential program that creates and sustains change.
• Looking at who is appropriate for executive coaching – which managers could become catalysts for successful change for the whole team?
• Considering other pathways that could help the organisation create its preferred culture;

o Effective workplace conversations program
o Coaching skills for leaders program
o One on one executive coaching
o Group coaching and/or mediation to create high performing teams
o Continual reassessment throughout

As with any successful coaching, organisational culture change takes time and is more than just an emersion experience with the accompanying expectations of immediate change. We structure a long-term plan to ensure sustainable change around a corporate community of practice.
